Advise your airline if your child is traveling unaccompanied
If booking an unaccompanied minor, please remember to tell the airline when doing this so that you ensure the proper flights are booked. Many airlines have special rules for minors traveling alone. These rules include and are not limited to the actual flights on which they can travel. For example some airlines do not allow unaccompanied minors to be booked on the last flight of the day.

Do walking tours on Sunday a.m.
If you are visiting London or Paris, you can do self tours on Sunday mornings. There are hardly anyone on the streets and you can enjoy the city's monuments without a crowd. It is also great for taking pictures. Also, during the Summer times, it will be very cool in the morning, so perfect for a walk.
Do remember that on Sundays, in London, the first trains are not usually until 7:30a. So go for an early walk and then take the first train back to your hotel.

Take unpopular flights
Why, they are cheaper. No one wants to get up and take the 5:30a flight, so it may be cheaper than taking the 9:00a flight. Or that red eye flight at 11:30p or at 12:30a may be cheaper than the flight at 4:00p that everyone wants to take.
The next time you do a flight search, check that out.

Travel midweek if you can
When booking your trips, try to fly midweek as the fares are much less. Flying Mondays and Fridays will cost you dearly. So avoid those days if you can.
Also, it is easier to navigate the airports as there are less passengers.

Don't hog the armrest
If you are traveling on a commercial airline and you have the aisle or the window seats, don't hog the arm rest. Give that middle seat guy some opportunity. Basically, if you have to share that armrest, really share it, don't hog it.
Your seat mate will thank you for it.
